About the Role

As a Software Engineer at Moon Tavern Games, you will utilize software design best practices and collaborate with other disciplines to rapidly iterate and bring ideas from prototypes to polished experiences which surprise and delight players.

The game you will be working on will be an RPG with an original IP and is heavily inspired by retro games. We're a small team with significant creative freedom - you're encouraged to contribute to the player experience by providing input (both technical and otherwise) in order to shape the end product.

What you'll do

  • Collaborate with designers and artists to translate feature requirements into playable software
  • Provide creative technical solutions for achieving the game vision
  • Utilize profilers to identify and optimize performance bottlenecks
  • Contribute to an engineering culture of building robust software utilizing best practices and coding standards
  • Join the fight against an ever-growing bug backlog
  • Playtest and provide feedback on the game throughout development

What you'll need

  • Experience developing video games
  • Proficiency with C#
  • Experience with Unity
  • Experience developing for iOS and Android is a plus
  • Experience with Golang is a plus
  • Experience with version control on live games is a plus
